Fees and splits
Two fees, one wallet, one channel. Pons sets the first; the second is ours and exists to pay the creator.
What a trade costs
A trade on a BitPad coin costs 3%. That is Pons' own 1% curve fee plus a 2% creator tax that BitPad writes into the coin at launch. Both are charged on buys and on sells.
| Pons' curve fee | 1.00% |
| BitPad's creator tax | 2.00% |
| Total cost of a trade | 3.00% |
Where each part goes
Pons keeps 30% of its own fee as its protocol share and credits the rest — 0.7% of the trade — to the coin's creator fee recipient. The creator tax is not split at all: 100% of it goes to that same recipient. Here that recipient is the BitPad wallet, set on-chain at launch, so 2.7% of every trade reaches it.
| Pons' protocol share | 30% of its own fee |
| Reaching BitPad from Pons' fee | 0.7% of the trade |
| Reaching BitPad from the tax | 2% of the trade |
| Reaching BitPad in total | 2.7% of the trade |
What we do with it
| The channel, as gifts | 100% |
| BitPad | 0% |
The 2% is not a platform cut. It exists because Pons' own fee alone leaves only 0.7% of a trade for the channel, which is too little to buy anything with on most volume. Every basis point of it is spent on the channel the coin names, and BitPad keeps none of it.
Pons caps the creator tax at 10% (its maxCreatorTaxBps, read live on 20 September 2026). The launch form re-reads that cap immediately before you sign, so if Pons ever lowers it below 2% the launch stops rather than quietly deploying a coin that pays the channel less than this page says it does.
Worked example
A coin doing 10 ETH of volume in a day:
24h volume 10.0000 ETH Pons' 1% fee 0.1000 ETH Pons keeps 30% 0.0300 ETH reaches BitPad 0.0700 ETH BitPad's 2% creator tax 0.2000 ETH all of it reaches BitPad 0.2000 ETH the channel's share (100%) 0.2700 ETH BitPad keeps 0.0000 ETH the trader paid 0.3000 ETH
Other costs
| Launching here | free — Pons' own launch fee still applies |
| Robinhood Chain gas | a fraction of a cent per transaction |
Pons can change its own fee terms at any time. The figures here were read off the live curve contracts on 19–20 September 2026, and every coin's page shows what its own curve currently charges.
